Statistics
Data collection and processing in Europe still suffers from a lack of standardization, but basic production data are now available from several sources, and the situation is getting increasingly better. Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union, is now making the data collected from the organic inspection bodies available at its homepage and provides extensive reports. The Institute of Rural Sciences at the University of Wales provides historical figures as well as detailed analyses. The Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL makes the latest data (not consolidated) available at this homepage.>>More
