A major initiative to improve information exchange among those interested in organic farming research is the international archive Organic Eprints. Organic Eprints is an international open access archive for papers related to research in organic agriculture. The archive contains full-text papers in electronic form together with bibliographic information, abstracts and other metadat. The archive has more than 7000 entries (August 2008). It was set up by the Danish Research Centre for Organic Farming DARCOF, (now Centre for Research in Organic Food Systems ICROFS). Currently ICROFS, the German Federal Organic Farming Scheme as well as the Research Institute of Organic Agriculture FiBL are using the archive to document their research results. Furthermore the partners of the ERA-NET project Core Organic are providing editors for the entries from their countries (>> for country editors see list at Organic Eprints). A recent development is that conferences are using the archive for the submission of papers, and, after the conferences, make the papers publically accessible. So far this has happened for
