The Institute of Rural Sciences (IRS) of the University of Wales has been
collecting European Data since the 1980s. From here the best historical
overview of the development of organic agriculture in Europe is available.
The institute also provides detailed analyses. It coordinates the EU
funded network project, EISfOM, that aims to build
up a framework for reporting valid and reliable data for relevant production
and market data about the European organic sector.
