Seminar on agriculture and climate change in the European Parliament: Presentations now available


On October 18, 2011, the seminar "Agriculture in Times of Climate Change – Organic Farming Approaches to Face the Challenge" took place in Brussels, organized by the European Group of the International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements (www.ifoam-eu.org ), Bio Austria (www.bio-austria.at ), Member of the European Parliament Elisabeth Köstinger and the Round Table on Organic Agriculture and Climate Change (RTOACC, see www.organicandclimate.org).

Following the seminar, the Roundtable on Organic Agriculture and Change Climate (RTOACC) held a series of sessions on the 18th and 19th of October  to exchange the last scientific data and devise strategy for future collaboration and action.

The RTOACC also held meetings with members of the European Commission from from the General Directorates Agriclture, Climate and Development and Cooperation about the contribution organic agriculture can play in combating climate change. Presentations from the seminar can now be found on the website of the IFOAM EU Group, while RTOACC will post details of its activities at its website in due course.
